Needs/Opportunities – We are always looking for those who want to serve God by using their gifts to lead others to worship Him. If your heart is to offer your gifts as an offering to God with a desire for musical excellence, then this is the place for you.
Singers: We are always welcoming singers to join, but we have a particular need for those who have an ear for harmony and are able to help sing non-melody parts, be they tenor, alto, baritone.
Band: As for band members, we are in need of additional musicians to allow a greater rotation of our current band members. In addition to a second rotation team of guitar/bass/drums, we would love to have those who can play lead-type instruments, such as electric guitar or saxophone. If you play other instruments and want to get involved, please let Matt know and he’ll work with you to find places for you to play. It may not be on a regular basis (every weekend, for example), but he’ll work to see where it makes sense to plug you in for you to use your gifts in worship ministry.
Sound Team: Another avenue that we are seeking to grow where you can help learn how to mix sound for Sundaymorning and other potential outlets. There is always a need for additional help here. Let Josh Salo or Matt know if you’re interested!
Media: Have you ever tried to sing the songs with the worship team when you didn’t know what they were? Have you ever tried to follow along when the words weren’t there to follow? Then you’ll understand how important this role is to the entire worship service. If you’re even slightly familiar with the concept of PowerPoint, then the EasyWorship program we use and the rest of the media will be, well, easy!
Drama Ministry: This program is headed by Linda Salo. We are desiring to grow this team where we can have skits and drama on a regular basis to combine with the musical portion of our worship service. If you have a heart to serve in drama like the rest of us do for music, this is certainly the place for you to be!
Lights: We are working to develop this area of ministry and is a great place to have the lights on up front, where you aren’t. Lighting plays a crucial role in helping to create an atmosphere of praise and worship, whether it be to bring
bright and vibrant displays as we shout out loud the praises of our God or whether it be a very simple and mellow display to help people take their focus on distractions around them and focus instead on Him who saves us from distraction and the chaos of the world going on around us.
Set-up/Tear-down: Perhaps you’re one that desires to serve but would do anything to stay out of any sort of spotlight, preferring to help in the background. This is the perfect place for you to serve. We set-up everything you see Sunday morning the day before, when no one else is around to be bothered or seen. We would love to have people step forward and help in this vital, yet unseen, area of
ministry.
Seasonal productions/Upcoming Events – There is nothing of particular note for the worship ministry team until we get into Fall and look ahead to Christmas Productions and Music programs. Stay tuned for further updates.
